Each fiber brings specific properties and responds differently through production. The blend ratio sets the target. The dyeing and finishing process gets it there.

One fiber carries the character, the other compensates for its limitation. The ratio controls how much of each property comes through.

A third fiber extends what two fibers alone cannot resolve. Where a two-fiber blend balances one property against another, the third fiber targets a specific gap — stretch recovery, moisture management, or surface texture — without compromising the primary balance.

Each additional fiber adds a dye behavior and finishing constraint. Hemp or linen with lyocell, cotton, and spandex is a common formula: lyocell and cotton soften the stiffness, spandex adds stretch. Consistent color across four different uptake rates requires careful process control.
